Music doesn’t come much more experimental than what young producer/artist M3staken is churning out at a prolific rate.
As part of his ‘trilogy’, the talented South Carolina born and bred musician has created three highly conceptual pieces of work that truly engage the ears, rather than just letting you be absorbed in the music.
The final and possibly most accomplished third of the trilogy, Rain, was is out now and displays M3staken at his most focused. Apex, the first installment of the trio, exhibited a unique combination of classical piano with ruptured and disjointed beats, but since then, M3staken has moved away from the melody of the classical sound to hone his skills with his trademark sound of dark ambience.
Upon listening to his music, you can instantly realise how much this young producer is pushing boundaries with his music; he’s one of those artists that you find difficult to categorise since he draws on a number of styles including hip-hop and electronica.
M3 commented that Rain is ‘loosely connected to my two previous works and it is primarily a collection of my personal favourite songs’.
So if you’re looking for something a bit more ‘out there’ that will provide you with a unique listening experience, give M3staken a try - I can guarantee you won’t have heard anything like him.
